For all of us here at Tug Valley Recovery Shelter, it’s such a pleasure to be able to share some good news and updates with our community. It has been the privilege of our program to have served Mingo and Logan counties for many years. We provide survivors of domestic violence support and advocacy with many services including helping people who are experiencing abuse go through the process of obtaining protective orders, providing counseling for them, offering emergency shelter, helping them plan how to leave as safely as possible and many more services.

We’re not changing our services, but we are making a big change in the way we reach out to our community and talk about this issue.
We’re developing an outreach plan that will provide assistance in different ways to anyone who needs our services. By continuing to be a presence in our local communities, and with the help our new website, we will provide helpful information on domestic violence and ways you can keep yourself or someone you know safe. We are putting brochures in local businesses in hopes to reach people who may need our help but may not be familiar with our program. We look forward to helping assist our communities in any way we can. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.
